Around the main town, there are still many houses which existed during the pre war days. However, many of them are being taken down to make way for new projects and buildings. New housing area keeps coming up almost everywhere in Kulim.

The famous landmark till this day is the Kulim clock tower as shown above. Its functional (at times) and the surrounding area have been greatly improved. Visitors can sit and even grab a bite at a stall nearby the clock tower. Do take care of the cleanliness around here as many have failed to do so.
